Golden Gate Bridge. This stunning red bridge was built in 1937. Its 4,200-foot main suspension span held a world record for 27 years, and its art deco styled towers rise 746 feet into the sky.
Alcatraz. Take a day or evening tour of the remnants of this infamous prison and you'll also enjoy its gardens, tide pools and vistas. The audio tour lets you listen to past prisoners as you visit their old cells.
Fisherman's Wharf. Known for its historic waterfront, delicious seafood, and proximity to the eclectic Ferry Building, Fisherman's Wharf includes the Maritime Museum and Wax Museum.
Transamerica Pyramid Building. The tallest skyscraper in San Francisco, this building dominates the landscape. Check out the lobby's art exhibits, then walk to nearby Chinatown for food and shopping.
